Tuition and Fees
Tuition and Fees charged by Georgia Southern University are approved by the University System of Georgia annually. Changes in tuition and fee rates are typically effective fall semester each year. The tuition and fees listed on the links below provide an estimate of tuition, fees, housing, meals, books and supplies. Actual costs are determined when a student registers for classes each semester and are based on student level, residency, credit hours, miscellaneous course fees, housing and meals. Actual charges will appear on the student’s online invoice via WINGS at https://my.georgiasouthern.edu. Additional information regarding Tuition and Fees is available on the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia website at www.usg.edu/student_affairs/tuition/.
Please note: The Board of Regents approved continuing the institutional fee in the amount of $290.00 per term for students enrolled in 5 hours or more and $145 per term for students enrolled in fewer than 5 hours for Fiscal Years 2014, 2015, and 2016. This fee is not covered by HOPE and is due on the regularly published fee payment deadlines.
ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
For those students who have already (prior to August 1, 2016) filed their FAFSA’s or already submitted documents required for verification, we continue to work diligently on getting these processed. However, due to the large volume received in the last month, we are experiencing delays in processing. Please respond to any request for information as quickly as possible and check your WINGS account for updates.
We have been working in conjunction with the Office of Student Accounts. Students who have sent in documents and are waiting for them to be processed should come to campus as planned. The Office of Student Accounts is understanding of the delays and will allow students in process to have some extra time to pay their bill. Please be patient with our office. We will work to see that your aid is processed before any cancellation of registration for non-payment occurs.
You will need to find a way to pay for books on your own. The Office of Student Accounts cannot authorize a bookstore credit when they do not know what amount of aid you are receiving. Please expect to pay for your own books if you are in this situation. If you end up with more aid than what you owe on your account, you will receive a refund as reimbursement for books.
Thank you for your patience.
